When October rolls around, the traditions start up. One of our very favorites is “booing” people, which means you make some Halloween treats, ring a doorbell, and ditch the treats on someone’s front step.

It’s a fun tradition that my kids look forward to every year. And, I love it because it’s a good way to start on some holiday baking and it’s a good reminder to help your kids think of others.

You can fill the treat box with anything. I recommend making someHalloween Sugar CookiesorHalloween Candy Cookie Barsand picking a couple of theseNo-Bake Halloween Treats.

Expert Tips

  • Try tostart “booing” your neighbors in early Octoberso others have time to participate.

What treats are best for “booing”?

  • Gooey Caramel Cornmakes a big batch and is pretty inexpensive (so you can “boo” lots of people).
